I have been extremely behind in my blog posting. Life just kind of got away from me and I complete lost track. It is hard to believe that we are fast approaching Christmas and here I am posting images from the spring; May to be exact.
I photographed my second Communion session. I have decided to add these to my portfolio because there is something completely magical about them. My daughter made her First Holy Communion this past spring as well and I fell in love with the sessions.
These images are from a friend and coworker of mine. She attends the same church as our family and I was honored to be able to photograph this special occasion for her.
A few weeks ago there was a photo that sparked the inspiration behind this mini session. An image of 1930's Hollywood actress, Carole Lombard was in my Facebook feed and I knew from the moment I saw it I wanted to recreate it.

I am a natural light photographer so I do not have all of the professional lighting in my arsenal. For this mini personal inspiration session I used a video light, a tan backdrop, and the complete darkness of my daughter's playroom. Below is my interpretation of the 1930's icon, Carole Lombard.
