Let Her Eat Cake!
For my daughter's 6th birthday I wanted to do something a little different. I didn't want the norm and being that I am in love with creating the fantasy series of images I have been photographing I decided on a fantasy character. I have always wanted to try Marie Antoinette and the theme fit perfectly with her birthday. "Let them eat cake!". I had under a week to pull it all together. I ordered the dress from Chasing Fireflies and the wig and accessories from Amazon. The silver from a thrift shop and the pastries from my local Giant. I decided to split the session into two different dates, only because it was easier in planning and would keep my sanity. This was one of the most elaborate sessions I have done to date with the amount of props and costumes. What started out as a simple birthday concept session ended up becoming my version of Marie Antoinette and what she was like, especially without the confines of the wig and regalia.
